Nights in Hydra: lapis and silver necklace

If you ever get a chance to go to Greece, and I sure hope you do, please go to an amazing island by the name of Hydra. This tiny island was once a ship building factory for the British Empire, and so wealthy that the merchants here paid for much of the Greek Revolution from the Ottoman Empire in 1820's... you can visit one of the ship building family's mansions that overlook the BEAUTIFUL sea...

This lapis and silver piece was acquired in Hydra, I fell in LOVE with it when I saw it because I thought the workmanship embodies so much of the style from that era... I added hand hammered silver, blue sapphire, and labradorite on an oxidized chain for a one of a kind necklace that will make you feel beautiful, darling Sophanista.
