it started with a book
A photo of "Africa Adorned" caught Sophia's attention and opened her eyes to jewelry as more than decoration. Jewelry could carry culture, memory, identity and joy.
A Lifelong Fascination
From childhood summers in Greece to graduate school in international relations and later the U.S. Peace Corps, Sophia has always been fascinated by adornment from around the world.
For over 30 years, her designs have drawn from the timeless, from Byzantine icons to the gems of King Louis’s court.
