Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number by email. For commissions, Sophia sends progress photos along the way so you can follow your piece as it comes to life.

Because each piece is made to order, custom commissions can't be canceled once the deposit is paid and the design is approved. Ready-to-ship pieces follow our standard 60-day exchange policy.

Every order arrives beautifully gift-wrapped at no extra charge. If the piece is for a certain occasion, such as a birthday, tell us! Sophia will wrap accordingly, and send along a blank card to write a note.

Gift cards are also available, starting at $50, and last one year from date of purchase.

In case of return: All sales are final. SFD will issue a credit for merchandise in exchange within 60 days of purchase. We do include custom jewelry for the credit amount as well as inventory pieces. All enquiries may be made to info@sophiaforero.com. After 60 days, all sales are final and not subject to merchandise exchange.

For the life of the piece, we pledge to:

• Address any imperfection in design, materials, or workmanship
• Resizing

We also help (for a minimal fee), but do not cover:

• Wear and tear
• Bent or missing prongs
• Discoloration from outside agents
• Bent/misshapen bands
• Loss of a stone/pearl/backing
• Broken clasps or missing links
• Repairs or maintenance done outside the original seller
• Theft
• Transfer of ownership

Text us at 630.210.1158 and we will issue a return authorization (RA) number. Mail your piece to Sophia Forero Designs, [mailing address to come from Sophia], via USPS, UPS, or FedEx with a tracking number, then email info@sophiaforero.com to confirm it's on its way.

Within 24 hours: We at SFD want you to FEEL BEAUTIFUL as soon as possible after your purchase! Our pledge to you is that we will ship within one day of your visit to our online store, so the jewels come to your door quickly. If we do have to procure materials, we will email you within the first 24 hours. Look for our deep pink package!

We love pampering our Sophanistas, and highly value communication with you. If for some reason a piece is not available to ship within the 24 hours of initial purchase, we will communicate with you right away to explain our time frame. As each piece is made by hand, we may need an extra day to create OR we may have to gather elements to complete the piece. We pride ourselves on only showing work on our site that is available within our shipping pledge of 24 hours, so out of stock situations are rare.

Yes. Allow us 24 hours after your order to calculate shipping for you, and we will communicate by text or email.

Orders over $150 ship free. Orders under that ship by USPS with a tracking number for a flat $12 within the US. Ready-to-ship pieces arrive within 3 to 5 business days.

Most commissions take 5 to 6 weeks from our first conversation to delivery. If you're working against a deadline, rush timelines as short as 2 weeks may be possible. Just let Sophia know upfront.

Commissions are the heart and soul of Sophia's work. Please review our terms:

• A $200 non-refundable remittance is due upon planning, and is used towards the price of your piece.
• Upon approval of design and budget, 1/2 of the final price is due to Sophia Forero Designs, and 1/2 is due upon delivery.
• All payments are non-refundable. If you change your mind about the commission, whatever you have paid is good only for credit for 60 days.

Yes. Many of Sophia's favorite commissions begin with a client's own stone or an heirloom piece. Bring your story and treasured materials to our first conversation. Together, we'll explore what's possible and imagine something uniquely yours.

Minor tweaks are usually no problem. Larger changes may affect both cost and timeline once production has started.

Yes, an appraisal can be provided for insurance purposes upon request.

Need it sooner? Rush timelines as short as 2 weeks may be available for an additional fee. Just let Sophia know when you reach out.

No. The distinctive elements of your commissioned piece are yours alone. Sophia won't recreate the same design for another client. If the original Sophanista requests a duplicate, this is entirely possible.

To keep your piece looking its best, avoid contact with perfume, lotion, and water, and store it separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching. Because materials vary piece to piece, feel free to reach out for care instructions specific to yours.

Pieces are crafted using ethically sourced semi-precious and precious gemstones. Reach out if you have specific metal sensitivities. We're happy to help you find the right fit.

We accept all major credit cards, along with PayPal / Venmo / Zelle.  For commissions, your deposit can be paid the same way, with the balance due upon delivery. Please note that credit card payments do incur an additional 3% processing fee.

Layaway is an option for our Sophanistas: we will hold merchandise for 30 days from request, with 20% down of the total sale. At the expiration of 30 days, full payment is due or pieces are reintroduced to inventory, with the initial down payment available for credit for future purchases, but no tender will be returned by SFD. Layaway pieces are not available for exchange once put on an agreed purchase plan.
